MNR Coaching are proud to announce a collaboration with the Berkshire School Games Organisers (SGOs)and Get Berkshire Active (GBA) to offer a series of Berkshire Virtual School Games events to all Primary, Secondary and SEN Schools in the county.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation all School Games events at local and county level alongside all intra school competition have been cancelled.
Working alongside the Berkshire SGOs and GBA the Berkshire Virtual School Games series has been created, with the 1st event (Sports Hall Pentathlon) going live Monday 4th May 2020, schools can still sign up to this using the following link by 3pm on Friday 8th May – https://getberkshireactive.org/week-one-sportshall
Every Monday an event will be publicised to schools via the Berkshire Active@Home mailer, GBA website via social media platforms including @BerkshireSGO. Each event will provide challenges and levels appropriate for year groups 1-9 to practise and compete, recording their best scores and sending them into their teachers to submit them before the deadline each week.
The partnership will see MNR Coaching working with Get Berkshire Active and School Games Organisers to create the format and challenges for each event, along with hosting the event via video release each week. The videos will include the equipment required, set-up for each challenge and demonstrations to give the young people of Berkshire the support they need to represent their schools in what will be the first Berkshire Virtual School Games!
Information on the Virtual Games and how to sign your school up is available on the Get Berkshire Active website – https://getberkshireactive.org/virtual-school-games
