Michael Chard

Director, West Berkshire Provision

Background: Michael has always had a passion for sport from a young age, taking part in a number of team sports as well as playing semi-professional football. He aspires to make sport fun and accessible for young people, and enjoys offering his knowledge to help increase participation amongst young people in sport.

Football

Qualifications:
BA (Hons) Sports Management and Football studies, and all necessary coaching qualifications for schools

Fun fact:
Michael is a keen chess player and has aspirations to play competitively in the future!

Nathan Baker

Director, East Berkshire & Holiday Provision

Background: Sport has been a big passion of Nathan’s from a young age, participating in as many different sports as possible during his school years. Nathan began coaching at the age of 16, gaining experience through football, which led to opportunities to coach across countries such as Italy, Denmark and Spain. On leaving university, Nathan saw an opportunity to support the delivery of P.E. in schools, working with teachers to provide fun, inspiring sessions that engage children in developing their key fundamentals, aspiring to create pathways from school sport to club participation.

Favourite Sport:
Enjoys anything alternative (handball, ultimate frisbee etc.)

Qualifications:
BA Sports Management and Football Studies, and a number of sporting NGBs to support full curriculum school delivery.

Fun fact:
Worked for the Italian Serie A (Premier Division) side Atalanta B.C. as a Coach for two summers. (Thinks he can speak fluent Italian!)
